KARACHI: In order to deal with traffic jams, the police has unveiled a traffic plan for the month of Ramazan.
As per the plan, 474 traffic police officials will be posted on 189 points during the rush hours. 1300 additional traffic police officials will offer their services during the month of Ramazan who will be assisted by 600 City Wardens and Scouts, who will also control the flow of traffic with them.
Citizens have been advised to use the Lyari Expressway between 2 pm to 8 pm. From Lyari Expressway Mauripur to Sohrab Goth, the flow of traffic would be directed in the opposite direction.
According to a handout by the traffic police, officials' holidays have been cancelled.
Each year, especially during the month of Ramazan, citizens suffer from traffic jams owing to the large number of vehicles in the city.
According to the plan, traffic police will also take note of under-construction roads throughout the city which hamper the flow of traffic and get in touch with the respective departments to solve the issue.
