KARACHI: At least three people including a security guard were killed when two unknown armed men opened indiscriminate fire inside a wine shop at Abul Hasan Isphahani Road, here on Sunday night.
According to assistant manager of the liquor store, two armed men wearing motorcycle helmets enter the shop’s premises and targeted the guard before opening fire inside the shop. They targeted heads of the victims, he added.
According to police, owner of the said wine shop is Taroomal who also owns other liquor stores in the city. He had reported receiving an extortion chit at his shop in Korangi in the recent past. However, officials of Sachal Police Station, under jurisdiction of which today’s incident took place, were not aware of the threat.
The three persons killed in the firing today were identified as security guard Shahid Khan, Tara Chand and Heera Lal.
