Ryan Reynolds “would love” to host the Oscars, but the star’s priorities are different right now.
The actor broke silence on the speculations around the rumours regarding him co-hosting the Oscars with his Deadpool & Wolverine costar and longtime friend Hugh Jackman next year.
“The Oscars, yes. This is something I really genuinely would love to do with Hugh,” the Canadian hunk, 48, told Deadline on Thursday.
“So, one day I’d love to do that, I don’t know about this year, but one day, yeah,” he added.
The actor further explained why he can’t host next year, because right now his priority is his four children and their mother.
“Part of it is that these movies like Deadpool & Wolverine, they consume my life, and I have four kids, and I want to be there," explained the Reynolds, who shares James, 9, Inez, seven, and four-year-old Betty, as well as one-year-old son Olin with Blake Lively.
“I want to see them, and they want to see me, and I want to walk into school with them, and I want to be able to be there present.”
