Kate Winslet reveals her most 'selfish' moment on 'Titanic' set
Kate Winslet makes surprising admission about 1997 'Titanic'
Kate Winslet recreates Titanic's iconic scene, showing Leonardo DiCaprio's character Jack could have survived with more effort.
During her regal appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Kate suggested that her character may not have been entirely correct with her choice of words, "I'll never let you go, Jack."
In response to Stephen’s claim, Kate admitted to lying to Jack’s face in the highly-acclaimed film.
She jokingly quipped in response, noting, "I lie, I fully lie. "I think he should have tried harder to get on that door.”
The Lee actress said they could recreate the famous scene from the 1997 tearjerker, as the duo shared a hilarious moment running around the counter.
She then quickly climbed up the table, reenacting the same scene to prove Jack could have fit.
Colbert imitated the heroic character as he said, “Promise me this, Rose”
To which, she responded, “Yes, what?”
The host further continued after he received a heads-up from the 49-year-old actress.
He said, “You’ll let me get up on that door with you.”
Getting into the spirit of her well-known character, Winslet responded, “Come on, darling. There’s room for two.”
For the unversed, James Cameron’s Titanic has won over 126 notable accolades, including eleven Academy Awards over a span of almost three-decades.
