KARACHI: A traffic police officer was hammered to death by his wife and her friend.
According to details, traffic police officer Saleem Naseer's body was recovered from an apartment near the city's Nagan Chowrangi area. Naseer's body contained torture marks.
Police successfully solved Saleem Naseer's case within a couple of hours when it was revealed that his third wife and her friend were involved in killing the police officer, who was hammered to death. Police also found the hammer which had been used to hack Saleem to death.
During initial investigations, the suspects made shocking revelations regarding the murder. According to the police, Saleem's wife called a plumber to the house for some work one-and-a-half year ago. She portrayed herself to be a widow and befriended the plumber, Zahid, with whom she established a stronger relationship.
Police also disclosed that the deceased's wife told Zahid that she was being harassed by a police officer named Naseer and that if he got rid of him, she would marry Zahid. Zahid proceeded to murder Saleem with two accomplices, using a hammer as his weapon.
