Common man will travel with dignity in Orange Line train: Shahbaz Sharif
LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that with the completion of the Orange Line Metro train system, the common man will be able to travel with dignity and comfort as per international standards.
Talking to various members of assembly from the different districts of Lahore, the Chief Minister said that owing to China's help, work was being carried out on various infrastructural and energy projects in Punjab as well as other provinces.
He said that the Orange Line Metro train was a great gift from the people of China to the people of Pakistan. He said that by releasing funds for the project, the Chinese had made history altogether.
Shahbaz Sharif stated that the current government has completed a lot of development projects in such a short duration of time, which was exemplary.
Opponents of both the Sharif brothers and PML-N have time and again criticised the Orange Line Metro train project for being too expensive. The Sharif government has also been slammed by PTI chief Imran Khan repeatedly for spending too much on trains, buses and motorways but ignoring the sectors of health and education.
