Amir Muqam had pleaded with Imran to let him join PTI: Pervaiz Khattak
SWAT: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak claimed that PML-N's representative Amir Muqam had pleaded with Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan to let him join PTI.
Addressing a large PTI rally in Swat, Khattak said:-
"Amir Muqam, have you forgotten the time you wanted to join Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf? I am witness to the fact that he met Imran Khan three times," claimed the KP Chief Minister.
Khattak also stated that Imran had consulted him on whether to include Amir Muqam in PTI or not. Khattak claimed that he had advised Imran against the decision to include Muqam in PTI's fold.
"I told Imran that if you want votes, he can bring in some votes. However, if you want a thief, then you should include him in PTI," said Pervaiz Khattak. According to Khattak, Khan claimed that there was no place for crooks in PTI.
PTI chief Imran Khan had also addressed the gathering at Swat today and slammed PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif. Imran had placed blame on Nawaz for destroying the police and bureaucracy in Pakistan. Imran also stated that when he would come to power in Pakistan, he would not hurl allegations at Nawaz Sharif but throw him in jail.
