QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri said it was his desire and effort that Quetta would be made clean and the most beautiful city of Pakistan and the Government was ensuring provision of resources for this purpose.
“Concerned quarters should ensure success of ongoing cleanliness drive and take effective measures for beautification of the city.”
He expressed these views while chairing a meeting to review headway of ongoing special cleanliness drive here Wednesday.
Provincial Minister Sheikh Jaffar Mandokhel was also present on the occasion.
Secretary Local Government Hafiz Abdul Majid and Commissioner Quetta division Qambar Dashti briefed the chief minister in detail about cleanliness drive.
They said 25 thousand waste has been disposed off from special grant of Rupees 50 million, provided by Chief Minister while more funds are needed to dispose off another one hundred thousand tonnes of waste.
Chief Minister directed that PC-1 should be prepared and presented to him.
It was told that traffic signals would be revived in the city within one week. Restoration of street lights in the city was underway.
Chief Minister expressed ongoing measures for cleanliness drive and city’s beautification and directed that this process should be accelerated so that people should feel a pleasant change.
