Taylor Swift makes request to Prince William for meet up?
In 2013, Swift sang at Kensington Palace, the London home of William and Kate
Royal sources claim that despite turning down an appearance on Meghan Markle's podcast, Taylor Swift was eager to meet Prince William.
The pop singer and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, took a selfie with the Prince of Wales and his two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, during the royals' attendance at the Eras World Tour at Wembley Stadium last week.
Royal insiders told The Mail: "Taylor Swift was keen to meet the Prince of Wales while she was in London.
"They already know each other, so the meeting made sense."
In 2013, Swift sang at Kensington Palace, the London home of Prince William and Princess Kate.
During that performance, which was part of a fundraising concert for the homelessness charity Centrepoint, William memorably joined Swift and rock star Jon Bon Jovi on stage.
In 2022, it was reported that Meghan Markle wanted Swift to appear on her Spotify podcast series, Archetypes.
The Duchess of Sussex was thought to have sent the singer a handwritten note asking for her to appear.
However, Swift was never a guest on the 12-episode podcast series.
It comes as fans of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have claimed that, in attending such a high-profile concert, William was "copying" Harry and Meghan, who famously interacted with US singer Beyonce in 2019.
