QUETTA: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has detained Ashraf Magsi, former chairman Balochistan Public Service Commission and two deputy directors for corruption charges, sources said Monday.
NAB sources privy to the arrest said, Ashraf Magsi was arrested in a case related to irregularities in the appointments. He is accused of illegal appointments of his two daughters and a son besides several others.
Deputy Director Examination Abdul Waheed and Deputy Director Secrecy Niaz Kakar have also been apprehended for facilitating.
Last week, the NAB arrested Balochistan Finance Secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Raisani and seized Rs650 million local and foreign currency and gold jewellery weighing several kilogrammes were recovered from his residence.
Mushtaq Raisani, who was arrested on Friday for his involvement in massive financial embezzlement, has started disclosing the names of his facilitators.
