Army Chief says Physical fitness important despite modern war technology
RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has said that despite modern war technology fitness of youngsters is of great importance.
According to statement released by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) the COAS said this while addressing the concluding ceremony of 5th PACES Championship held in Lahore.
He said that the youths of Pakistan Army have shown their remarkable performance in every walk of life including battle field and sports.
The COAS has lauded the sports competitions and capabilities of sportsmen. The Corp Commander Lahore Lieutenant General Sadiq Alvi was also accompanied by Army Chief.
The competitions of Pakistan Army s war capabilities and other sports have commenced on April 27th and concluded on May 6th in Ayub Stadium of Lahore.
In physical competitions Rawalpindi corp s team secured first position while Karachi team has bagged the second. A total of 275 Army players have participated in these competitions.
