VIDEO: Novak Djokovik mimicks Cristiano Ronaldo's 'siuuu'
Siuuu, meaning yes in Spanish, is Ronaldo's signature step, which he's been doing since 2023
Players all over the world have their signature steps to celebrate their victories. One of the most well-known and loved moves, Siuuu, belongs to footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
It is so popular that even the Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic is a fan of the soccer legend's move and was recently seen mimicking it, Daily Mail reported.
Djokovic who is in California to participate in the BNP Paribas Open was seen mimicking the Portuguese star's signature step during a kickaround at Indian Wells.
In the video posted on X, Djokovic passed the ball around fellow tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas before wheeling away, channelling his inner Ronaldo.
He also copied Chelsea player Didier Drogba.
This is not the first time an athlete has copied the Al-Nassr footballer's step, Milwaukee Bucks star and Nashville SC minority owner Giannis Antetokounmpo also performed the "siu" during a Major League Soccer (MLS) game.
Siuuu, which means yes in Spanish, is Ronaldo's signature step, which he has been doing since 2023 when he played for Real Madrid.
When asked about why he screams "siuuu" while performing the step, he said, "The scream? The players know I always do that shout when I score a goal or when we win, It's our shout, from Real Madrid."
Ronaldo who now plays for Al-Nassr is one of the top goal-scorers in soccer history.
