KARACHI: Former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain has said that cases against him were bogus and fabricated and he was just facing a media trial.
While talking to media here on Friday after appearing before a trial court, Dr Asim claimed that statements of witnesses were recorded before investigation was started against him as according to him statements carry no specific date with them.
He refuted that he ever met with Faryal Talpur during his detention.
Dr Asim further said that he went to the UAE embassy to sign a power of attorney authorizing his son to run a hospital in Dubai.
