ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet on Wednesday endorsed constitution of Judicial Commission over Panama leaks under the serving Chief Justice and its Terms of References (ToRs).
The federal cabinet met here under the chair of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at PM House after a gap of seven months.
The members of the cabinet also approved Budget Strategy Papers for the next three years.
Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar informed the meeting that the next budget would be ‘development budget’.
Speaking in the meeting, PM Nawaz Sharif said some political opponents were trying to undermine the country’s economic take off, fearing their own political demise.
“Our opponents know that if we are successful in implementing our development projects then their politics is going to liquidate in 2018 general elections,” said the Premier.
The Prime Minister mentioned that from 1999 onwards the previous governments failed to invest in energy sectors and vowed to successfully eliminate shortage of gas within his tenure.
The cabinet was briefed that Chinese Council had approved 4.5 billion dollars for projects of Sukkar-Multan Motorway and Havelian-Thakot Motorway.
