Reorganization to reflect aspirations of workers: Bilawal

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has emphasized that reorganization process should be reflective of the aspiration of and inspiration for the Party and asked the Provincial Coordination Committee to establish close liaison with all the Party cadres for a successful transition to the new organizations up to district level.

He was presiding over a meeting of the PPP Sindh Coordination Committee, which called on him at Bilawal House today. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and the Committee members Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Maulana Bux Chandio, Syed Murad Ali Shah, Nafeesa Shah and Rashid Rabbani attended the meeting.

Committee members briefed the PPP Chairman about its deliberations conducted so far and assured him that they are joining heads on daily basis to meet the expectations of the Chairman in accomplishing the Herculean task they have been entrusted by the Party leadership.

Sindh Coordination Committee informed Bilawal Bhutto that general workers meetings will be held in every district of the province to seek their opinion and recommendations for nominating the new office-bearers for the District organizations. Same procedure will also be adopted for the nominations to the offices of Party’s Women, Youth, Student, Minority, Hari and other wings, they further informed.

Talking to the delegation, Bilawal Bhutto said that people of Pakistan have attached great hopes in the current PPP leadership like our predecessors. “As the world’s top country with the largest proportion of youth population, we need to tap this potential for achieving greater progress as well as strengthening democracy and democratic norms,” he added.

PPP Chairman said that besides infusing new blood into the Party organization, the senior Party workers are also our great asset and their guidelines and advices would always be welcome as they have put up a long struggle full of sufferings and sacrifices.

Bilawal Bhutto and the Coordination Committee appreciated the out going President Syed Qaim Ali Shah and eulogized his role in running the Party during difficult times and also winning the last two general elections in Sindh and hoped the new team will follow the foot-prints of the previous leadership.
