Cristiano Ronaldo surpasses all to finish as 2023's top goal scorer
Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe trail Ronaldo with their 52-goal tally, whereas Haaland secures fourth position with his 50 goals
After having a rather disastrous 2022 with only 16 goals, Cristiano Ronaldo has made a remarkable comeback in 2023 and is set to finish as the year's top goal scorer.
Ronaldo, 38, seems undeterred by age and a career spanning more than two decades as the Portuguese striker managed to score a remarkable 53 goals in the outgoing year.
The Al Nassr forward's goal tally is trailed by Harry Kane and Kylian Mbapper who netted 52 goals each in 2023.
Meanwhile, Erling Haaland — who was the only one who could've surpassed Ronaldo — scored 50 goals in the current year.
Mbappe, Haaland, and Kane have no more matches scheduled in the year while the Al Nassr star will play against Al Taawoun on December 30.
However, since Ronaldo is guaranteed to finish the year with the most goals, he is likely to rest for the upcoming match.
