Dr Sohail Masood, a prominent Pakistani-American entrepreneur, has been awarded with the prestigious Entrepreneur Of The Year 2023 National Award in the United States.
Dr Masood is the chief executive officer of Kabafusion, a home infusion company working for patient care and positive clinical outcomes, for his remarkable achievements in the healthcare sector.
The entrepreneur was awarded on November 13, positioning him as a leading businessman in the US.
Pakistan's Ambassador to the US Masood Khan felicitated Dr Masood on Tuesday, terming his feat as a moment of pride for the Pakistani diaspora.
Felicitating Dr Masood, the envoy said that his phenomenal successes in the field of healthcare and his recognition as one of the leading entrepreneurs in the US was a matter of pride for the Pakistani diaspora in the United States as well as the Pakistani nation.
The ambassador further said that Pakistanis living in the US were a link between Pakistan and the US and were significantly contributing towards the progress of their homeland as well as their motherland.
The ambassador also appreciated the philanthropic works of Dr Masood.
EY Entrepreneur Of The Year, previously Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, is the most coveted annual award programme in the US that recognises entrepreneurship. Founded in 1986, the programme runs across all 50 US states and in more than 60 countries. Each year over 300 compete in different categories with only 10 being selected after passing through rigorous criteria.
Starting his professional career in 1992, a Pakistani-descent entrepreneur Dr Masood led his company to become one of the largest home infusion providers in California. In 2010, he launched KabaFusion, a home infusion company, that has also registered phenomenal annual growth of 30% to 40% year over year.
Employing more than 1,500 healthcare professionals, KabaFusion has 26 home infusion specialty pharmacies across the US and offers service capabilities, including home nursing support, in more than 40 states.
