RAWALPINDI: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chauhdry Nisar Ali Khan held a meeting with Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Thursday, sources said on Friday.
The sources said the army chief and the two top ruling party leaders agreed to continue indiscriminate action against terrorists and their facilitators in Punjab. According to Geo News, details of the ongoing drive against militant outfits were finalized in the meeting.
Shahbaz Sharif, who had travelled from Lahore, held consultation with Nisar Ali Khan at the airport before heading to the Army House in Rawalpindi where they met General Sharif, the sources said.
They said it was decided in the meeting that the Punjab government would be informed before and after each operation against terrorists in the province.
The meeting lasted for two and a half hours after which both Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Shahbaz Sharif called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to inform him about their meeting with the general.
