Karachi operation to continue till elimination of terrorism: DG Rangers
KARACHI: Director General Sindh Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar on Sunday said the on-going drive against criminal elements was not bound by time or pace and it would continue till complete elimination of terrorism.
A spokesman for the paramilitary force said in a statement that the Rangers DG briefed a 70-member delegation of Security Companies which visited the Rangers Headquarters on Sunday.
Major General Bilal Akbar said the operation was not against any political party or group. “Rangers’ mission is only to crackdown on criminals,” the spokesman quoted him as saying.
He also called on political and religious parties not to let criminal elements and terrorists take shelter in their ranks.
The Director General Rangers applauded the role of security companies and urged them to share information with the paramilitary force in order to establish peace in Karachi.
