QUETTA: Shahbaz Taseer, son of slain governor Punjab Salman Taseer, who was freed from almost five years of captivity on Tuesday, has reunited with his family in Lahore after being flown home from Quetta, the Inter Services Public Relations said Wednesday.

In tweets on Wednesday, DG ISPR Lt-Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa said Taseer has reunited with his family after he landed in Lahore. He was flown home from Quetta in a special aircraft by intelligence officials.

General Bajwa also posted recent photos of Shahbaz Taseer standing next to an aircraft. The pictures showed Taseer had trimmed his long beard which could be seen in the photos released by the ISPR Tuesday evening.
Shahbaz Taseer will reunite with his family in Lahore.
Taseer was kidnapped from Lahore on Aug 26, 2011 near his company’s head office, a few months after the assassination of his father Salman Taseer at the hands of his body guard Mumtaz Qadri.
