Two Pakistani engineers kidnapped in Afghanistan

PESHAWAR: Gunmen kidnapped two Pakistani engineers in Afghanistan’s Jawzjan province on Sunday, officials said.
“Gunmen kidnapped two Pakistani engineers and their Afghan driver on the Sheberghan-Bashikor highway,” Jawzjan police chief Faqir Muhammad Jawzjani told the Afghan Islamic Press (AIP).
The Pakistani engineers were working with a construction company.He said the armed men also drove away the vehicle of the engineers. He added the construction company was run by three partners, who had some differences. The police chief said the kidnapping of the engineers may be linked to the dispute among the three partners.Meanwhile, Afghan Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid told reporters that they had not kidnapped the Pakistani engineers.
