Political turmoil created to let Musharraf go: Raja Zafar

Political turmoil created to let Musharraf go: Raja Zafar
RAWALPINDI: The Chairman of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Raja Zafarul Haq, on Sunday said the political turmoil in the country had been orchestrated to pressurise the government to let the former military ruler Pervez Musharraf escape from the country.
Talking to the media here, Raja Zafarul Haq said that Pervez Musharraf was about to recognise Israel when he had met the Israeli defence minister in London. He said Nawaz Sharif was the only leader who condemned the Israeli barbarism in Gaza.
Zafarul Haq was addressing as the chief guest at a flag hoisting ceremony held at the Quaid-e-Azam Chowk, Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, Rawalpindi, in connection with the Independence Day celebrations.
The PML-N chairman said the government was being pressurised consistently for the release of Musharraf and the current political turmoil was one of the series of pressure tactics.
“Hidden forces that didn’t want legal action against Musharraf and wanted a safe exit for him are pressurising the premier,” the PML-N leader remarked when asked to clarify who exactly was pressurising the prime minister.
Commenting on PAT chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri and PTI’s chief Imran Khan, Zafarul Haq as chief guest at a flag hoisting ceremony held at Quaid-e-Azam Chowk Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, Rawalpindi in connection with the Independence Day celebrations.
Raja Zafarul Haq said the PML-N would form next government in the country as a number of development projects had been initiated to change fate of the country. The PML-N government was committed to eliminate loadshedding, he added.
Raja Zafarul Haq said the government would change the fate of the nation within the mandated period as loadshedding, lawlessness and other ills in the society would be eliminated. He added that politics of strikes and sit-in was against the progress of the country and asked the political groups to let the PML-N government act upon its agenda of the country’s development. He said some elements who wanted to take to the streets in the name of revolution were working on the agenda to push the country back to the era of darkness and misery.
On the contrary Raja Zafarul Haq said the PML-N government was working on a real revolution by making the youth a part of the country’s development. He said the government was working with commitment and zeal for the development of the country. There was no justification for creating hurdles on our journey of national development, he added.
We are unable to understand agenda of the people who were agitating. He said the country was passing through a critical period thus there was a greater need to forge unity by shunning all the differences. But contrary to that, he said, PAT chief had been fuelling hatred to achieve his hidden agenda.
Hanif Abbasi on the occasion asked the youth to stand with those who wanted to take the country forward on the path of peace and prosperity and not to stand with those who wanted the nation to plunge into darkness.
The function was organized by former MPA Zia ullah Shah and attended by Member National Assembly (MNA) Tahira Aurangzeb, MPA Malik Iftikhar, MPA Zaibun Nisa, PML-N leader Rahat Quddusi and a large number of PML-N workers.
