Balochistan CM contacts estranged leaders in London over APC

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has made contacts with the estranged Baloch leaders and there is a likelihood of an All Parties’ Conference (APC) on the Balochistan issue at the end of the month to restore peace.
According to sources, the chief minister had gone to United Kingdom in connection with restoring contacts with estranged Baloch leaders who had opted to remain in self-exile. They were contacted through their friends to cooperate with the government while participating in the APC.
Sources said the Balochistan government wants cooperation of both the political and army leadership of the country. There are some issues that both the government and security establishment agreed upon but many other issues are still contentious had needed cooperation.
The government has reached out to the friends of the estranged Baloch to convince them and bring them to the table so that they could participate in the APC and cooperate in restoring peace in the province.
Meanwhile, unknown armed men gunned down an employee of the education department on Sunday in Panjgur district. The victim Abdul Qadir was attacked by assailants on a motorcycle who opened fire on him and fled from the scene.
The reason of the killing could not be ascertained. At least five persons of a family including women and children were also injured in an incident of rocket firing in Kathan area of Bolan district.
Unknown men fired three rockets from an unidentified location. One of these rockets landed on the house of Azizullah. As a result Azizullah, his wife Nawab Khatoon, Badam Khatoon, Shabira and a child received injuries.
