Three die after drinking contaminated water

HYDERABAD: Three devotees of Hazrat Shah Noorani of Lahoot Lamakan lost their lives while some others fell unconscious after drinking contaminated water at Changel Chari of Naing Sharif, some 60 kilometres from Sehwan Town, district Jamshoro late on Saturday night.
According to volunteers of the Edhi Welfare Foundation, Sehwan Town, three bodies, identified as Nabi Bakhsh, resident of Larkana, Muhammad Essa and Rab Nawaz, residents of Jam Nawaz Ali, district Sanghar, were handed over to their relatives after completion of medico-legal formalities in Taluka Hospital Sehwan.
Ghulam Sarwar, a volunteer of Edhi Foundation, Sehwan, said that three devotees died as a result of drinking contaminated water of a pond in Changel Chari, Naing Sharif, the hilly area of Kheerthar mountain range of Taluka Sehwan, district Jamshoro.
Tens of thousands of devotees visit Lahoot Lamakan every year to pay homage to Hazrat Shah Noorani, Ghulam Sarwar said and added that Changel Chari, on the route to Lahoot Lamakan, is situated in hilly area of Naing Sharif where no facility of drinking water and other necessities is available. The bodies of the deceased were shifted to Sehwan Town in vehicles of a gas exploring company.
