Corrupt not to escape unpunished: Nawaz

LAHORE: PML-N President Nawaz Sharif on Thursday expressed the resolve that his party manifesto would be implemented in letter and spirit and vowed that no corrupt person would escape retribution and would be brought to book as per the law of the land. He expressed these views during a meeting with different independent MNAs-elect at Raiwind, who announced joining the PML-N.
Those who called on Nawaz Sharif and announced their decision included Dostain Domki from Sibi, Khalid Magsi, Jhal Magsi, Balochistan, Jam Sahib of Lasbela, Jam Kamal and Asghar Shah from Bahawalnagar.
Nawaz welcomed their joining of the PML-N and claimed they would focus all their energies on the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. He claimed that Pakistan was facing a challenging situation and they would take all the political parties along for the betterment of Pakistan.
It was learnt that Jamshed Dasti from Muzaffargarh and Awais Leghari from DG Khan would also meet Nawaz Sharif and announce their support to PML-N.Nawaz also announced observing the Thanksgiving Day on Friday throughout Pakistan over the phenomenal win of his party in the polls. He appealedworkers and masses to offer special prayers for the security and prosperity and solidarity of Pakistan. He directed all the elected members of the national and provincial assemblies to go to masses and thank them personally for supporting the PML-N.
Agencies add: PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif said that the PML-N victory was an unforgettable achievement of the party supporters.Talking to MPs-elect, Nawaz saluted his party workers and said former rulers gave priority to their vested interests and they ruined the nation and national interest and therefore, the nation kicked them out with abhorrence.
“Nation wants to see democratisation and prosperity in letter and spirit inside the territorial boundaries of the country,” Nawaz said.“The PML-N would build great and endless cordial relations with all the countries of the

world through its policies,” he added.
The PML-N outlined a 10-point priority agenda for first 100 days of its government.According to reports, resolving energy crisis, bringing down inflation, improving law and order situation and revival of the economy are some of the points that top the priority list developed by the leadership of the PML-N. The sources said Nawaz Sharif was likely to unveil the agenda during his first speech after taking oath as the prime minister.
