ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on Tuesday called the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and inquired about his health.
General Kayani congratulated Imran Khan over his party’s victory in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and for getting the mandate in the Centre. He expressed his best wishes for full recovery of Imran Khan so that he could resume his positive role in politics of the country.
Imran Khan is under treatment at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust Hospital in Lahore after falling off a lift taking him on the stage for an election rally.Earlier, Imran Khan received a call from India’s Congress Party vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who inquired after his health and they spoke for about 10 minutes.
