Restrictions on Utmanzai tribe lifted

Restrictions on Utmanzai tribe lifted
MIRANSHAH: The political administration Thursday lifted the ban, which had been imposed on issuance of identity cards, passports and other documents to Utmanzai tribe for their failure to administer anti-polio vaccines to their kids.
The announcement was made after a jirga of the tribal elders including Maulvi Gul Ramzan, Hafiz Noorullah Shah, Maulvi Saleem and Hafiz Abdul Sattar with the Political Agent (PA) NWA Siraj Ahmad Khan at his office in Miranshah.
Speaking on the occasion, Siraj Ahmad said the ban on issuance of computerised National Identity Card (CNIC), passport, domicile and others documents, was lifted following the directives of election commissioner and Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said the ban would be reinstated after completion of the registration of the voters in NWA. Maulvi Gul Ramzan, who is also the nominee of the Utmanzai tribe for the National Assembly seat (NA-40) constituency in Miranshah welcomed the decision of lifting the ban on the issuance of such important documents and asked the political administration to lift the sanctions once for all.
