TTP announces to target MQM activists

November 3, 2012

ISLAMABAD: The banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman Ihsanullah Ihsan on Friday said in order to topple the government of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), the Taliban had decided to target the MQM activists.
In an email message to the INP, Ihsanullah Ihsan said the TTP was following the teachings of Islamic Shariah so it is obligatory on the fighters of the TTP to fight against the MQM. He said to avenge the killing of innocent citizens of Karachi, the TTP will not spare the MQM members at any cost.
Ihsan asked the leaders of the Balochistan and Sindh-based separatist organisations —Baloch Liberation Army and Sindh Liberation Army, to continue their struggle for their due rights against the incumbent government according to the teaching of the Islamic Shariah. The TTP spokesman urged all the judges, including the Chief Justice of Pakistan, to work for the implementation of Shariah in Pakistan.
He said the TTP will formulate its course of action for the forthcoming general elections

in Pakistan after the announcement of elections by the government. “The TTP will divide the political parties in Pakistan into three categories in their future strategy for the next general elections,” Ihsan said.
It is pertinent to mention here that the MQM chief Altaf Hussain on Thursday directed the party’s Coordination Committee to announce a date for holding a public referendum as soon as possible. The MQM chief said that public opinion should be gathered from Karachi to Khyber and from Khyber to Balochistan and Azad Kashmir to Gilgit-Baltistan. People should be asked in the referendum if they wanted Quaid-i-Azam’s Pakistan or Taliban’s Pakistan.
He asked the Coordination Committee to hold referendum throughout the country in the same day. A team should be constituted in each province, which should be given the responsibility of making necessary arrangements for holding the referendum and counting the ballot paper in the presence of

senior judges, lawyers or notable citizens.
