Police said unknown miscreants hurled a hand grenade at the Shikarpur residence of a PPP leader, Agha Siraj Durrani, who is the provincial minister for local bodies. Unknown miscreants hurled a cracker at PPP MPA Imdad Pitafi’s residence in Hyderabad. No damage to property or loss of life was reported. The PPP condemned Tuesday’s coordinated attacks, saying that political opponents were using dirty tactics to harass the ruling party leadership.
Meanwhile, security at the residences of PPP MPAs and ministers across the province was beefed up following strikes and violent protests in Sindh against the new local government bill.
SANA adds: A suspicious bag with pamphlets from Sindhu Desh Liberation Army was found at the residence of Hayat Talpur and an extra contingent of police was posted outside his house.
In a similar incident, a five-kilogram bomb was defused at the residence of MPA Fasih Shah in Nawabshah. Moreover, a handmade bomb was recovered from Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Khuhro’s
