LAHORE: PML-Q (likeminded) and PML-N leaders have announced to contest the upcoming polls together amidst claims that Pakistan is confronting the complicated problems like corruption, price-hike, load-shedding and unemployment which can only be resolved under the steering leadership of Nawaz Sharif.

They claimed that President Asif Ali Zardari through his massive corruption had disappointed everyone and if the Charter of Democracy had been implemented in its true spirit, Pakistan would have been ranked among the fast developing countries of the world. They were addressing a gathering after inaugurating the Lahore Cantonment General Hospital constructed by PML-Q (likeminded) female MNA Kashmala Tariq through the development funds on Sunday.

Addressing the occasion, MNA Kashmala Tariq said they had decided to contest the upcoming polls along with PML-N with the objective of getting rid of corruption, price-hike, unemployment and electricity load-shedding. She claimed that the PPP government had brought disappointment among masses through ongoing massive corruption at every level.

She alleged that the PPP government had miserably failed to deliver and Nawaz Sharif was the only leader in Pakistan who had the capacity to bring country back on the track of the development. She stated that they wanted democracy to be strengthened and the elected governments should complete their constitutional timeframe without any interruption from any side. She claimed that the people should elect politicians in the upcoming polls who had the capacity to resolve their problems.

She claimed that they did not let anyone derail this weakest democracy even at the cost of the popularity graph of their parties. She stated they did not believe in politics of torching and besieging but wanted to change the government through power of votes.

She deplored that India and Bangladesh had advanced much ahead of Pakistan due to strong democracies in these respective countries. Other participants, including Senator Pervaiz Rasheed, Pervaiz Malik, Mian Muhammad Asif, and Khawaja Saad Rafique, claimed that the change in the country could not be brought through dancing, musical concerts and enlightened moderation.
