RAWALPINDI: Taji Khokhar’s legal aides claimed that the Rawalpindi police wrongly implicated Taji and his two sons in a murder case as the incident occurred in the jurisdiction of the Koral Police Station, but the Airport police took up the case and registered an FIR against them to earn political mileage.
The Airport police have registered the FIR against nine assailants under Sections 302,148, 149, 324 and 427 PPC (FIR No643), involved in killing a woman, Sabra Bibi, on a land dispute at Dhok Kangal, on Friday, police sources said adding that Taji Khokhar, Umar Khokhar, Farrukh Khokhar, Irfan alias Nikku, Anwarul Haq, Ramzan, Saghir, Hassan Shah and Imran
were among the attacker who were nominated in the FIR, police said adding that raiding parties have been sent to arrest them.
Documents provided to this correspondent by the people standing with Taji Khokhar, to support their claim, said that a parallel report was lodged by Koral Police Station SHO, Inspector Mehboob Ahmad, himself about the occurrence of the incident at Service Road of Fizaia Chowk, which fell in the jurisdiction of Islamabad Territory, but the SHO didn’t convert the simple report to formal FIR.
The SHO, in his report, said that he sent duty officer sub-Inspector (SI) Ghulam Mustafa and ASI Fateh Sher to the crime scene who collected empties of 12-bore and blood from the scene as evidence and sent the victim to Benzir Bhutto Hospital.
The medico legal report provided to this correspondent said that eight pallets were recovered from her body.
The SHO, in his report, quoted deputy officer’s claim, said when the SI went to the BBH to record the victim’s statement, he faced resistance from her 50 relatives who expressed their dissatisfaction over the Koral police, saying that they didn’t want to
lodge the case with the Islamabad police and didn’t allow to record statement of the victim. Consequently, the SHO of

Tariq, who were present there, took up the case and lodged the FIR against Taji Khokhar and his son among nine people.
Taji Khokhar’s men produced arrest warrants for Raja Mohammad Yaqoob, issued by the court of “Shabbir Ahmad, Civil Judge/Magistrate Section-30” on July 15, 2012, and declaration of his son Mohammad Jabran absconder from the court of “Mohammad Shabbir Bhatti, Civil Judge (East)”, issued on August 18, 2012, proving that complainant and his son were involved in criminal offences. Raja Mohammad Yaqub was a proclaimed offender.
Meanwhile, the top bosses of Rawalpindi police, in a meeting, decided a crackdown against Taji Khokhar and others, nominated in the FIR, soon after Eid, the sources of Rawalpindi police disclosed, adding that the accused involved in the killing of a woman, would be arrested at all cost.
The sources said that the Rawalpindi police have constituted teams, comprising police commandos, to conduct raid at Taji Khokhar’s house.
