• Rally expresses solidarity with state institutions in Islamabad

      ISLAMABAD: Members of the civil society organised a rally here on Thursday to express solidarity with state institutions and called for need of unity to face challenges.

      A large number of people hailing from different walks of life including women, lawyers, students and minority members participated in the rally which started from D-Chowk and culminated at Parliament House.

      The participants were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans in favour of the government and armed forces. On the occasion, a student Zeeshan Akhtar told mediapersons that the time is now very crucial and need is to forge unity among our ranks and added with oneness Pakistan can meet the challenges effectively.

      “Pakistan armed forces have sacrificed for the defence of the country and their services in the law enforcement operatons against terrorists, miscreants and militants and during natural calamities should be acclaimed,” a member from minority Akram Masih said.
