Ashraf Industries helps flood victims

ISLAMABAD: Ashraf Group of Industries has distributed garments and other items among the thousands of flood-affected people on the occasion of Eidul Fitr.
A grand ceremony was held in this regard on behalf of Ashraf Sugar Mills Limited in Bahawalpur where Chaudhry Muhammad Zaka Ashraf was the chief guest. Ashraf Sugar Mills General Manager Brigadier (R) Abdul Aziz offered Eid prayers with flood-affected people in the tent village, established by the mills, and distributed sports goods among the children, said a press release on Wednesday.
On this occasion, Ch Muhammad Zaka Ashraf directed every possible help to flood victims and said that at this difficult time Ashraf Sugar Mills did not forget flood-affected brethren. He said that the purpose of Eid is to share pleasures with each other.
Ashraf Sugar Mills also announced to provide employment to all flood victims present in the tent village and also provide tents and free transport to them to return to their areas. Besides this, three-time meal, milk for children and medical facilities along with security to the flood victims will continue till their rehabilitation. The flood-affected people said that many other private institutions failed to provide them with any kind of aide. They specially thanked Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf for establishing the tent village and providing them with bread, clothes, medical facilities and milk for their children. They also arranged collective prayers for him.
