Edwardes Media Society organizes seminar

PESHAWAR: The Edwardes Media Society organized a seminar Monday at the Edwardes College in which senior journalists spoke to the students about issues concerning the media in Pakistan.
The seminar, titled “Media Matters: Demands for a Responsible Press” was attended by a large number of students, faculty members and members of the media.
Senior journalists Rahimullah Yusufzai, Mushtaq Yusufzai and Iftikhar Firdous talked about the media landscape in Pakistan, the way the national and international media covers events and the growing role of the social media. Later, a question-answer session was held.
Fauzia Bibi, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA from Chitral, also spoke on the occasion. Brig (Retd) Nayyar Fardous, principal of Edwardes College, thanked the speakers for sparing time to interact with the students and share their knowledge and experiences with them.
