NH&MP IG visits beat camps

Islamabad: National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) Inspector General (IG) Zulfiqar Cheema, visited different Beat Camps located at Bahawalpur and Multan (N-5 Central Zone) on Tuesday, NH&MP Headquarters said.
During the meeting with the field officers, the inspector general directed them to keep an eye on overloading of passengers in public service vehicles and discourage overloading/improper loading in cargo carriers.
Emphasising lane discipline, especially on highways, he said lane discipline should be assured without any tolerance. The inspector general strongly advised officers to be firm but polite while enforcing law. He highlighted different steps taken for the welfare of the officers, and said, “now it’s your responsibility to perform your official duty with utmost devotion and integrity for goodwill of this department.”
