Karachi
A subordinate court was directed by the Sindh High Court on Tuesday to dispose of an application and cases pending against noted poet and writer, Naseer Soomro, within 15 days.
The cases pertaining to family disputes on plots against the writer have been pending with the civil and family Judge (XIX) for district East and an application filed under section 249-A of the Criminal and Procedure Code is also waiting to be heard.
The writer had approached the high court and had moved an application against the trial court for alleged delay in hearing the application filed under section 249-A.
The high court in its order on Tuesday observed that the urgency of application had ended its purpose, directing the trial court to dispose of the matter within 15 days and report to the appellate court through Member Investigation Team (MIT).
