Govt departments to switch to solar energy: Abid Sher

MULTAN: Minster of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali on Thursday said almost all the government and semi-government departments would be switched to solar energy soon to conserve energy.
Addressing a meeting here at MEPCO headquarters, he directed heads of all power-distribution companies to submit a feasibility report in this regard within two weeks.He said the government was taking various initiatives on a war-footing to overcome the energy crisis, adding that they were trying their best to get cheap electricity.Abid Sher Ali said power pilferage, along with less recovery ratio, was the main factor behind the recent power outages across the country.
