QG discusses uplift projects with Shahbaz

QUARTERMASTER General Lt. Gen. Najib Ullah Khan met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday.
Development projects being executed in the province were discussed in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the Punjab government was implementing the development projects in a transparent manner and their timely completion was being ensured so that people could benefit from them as early as possible. He disclosed that the third-party audit system had also been introduced for development projects.
He opined that the southern loop of the Lahore Ring Road and Shahdra-II Kalashah Kaku expressway projects were of vital importance and the Punjab government wanted to initiate both projects at the earliest. The Chief Minister issued the instructions for the formation of a high powered committee for presenting final recommendations about both projects within seven days. He suggested that the extension of metro bus project road from Shahdra to Imamia Colony be considered. Lt. Gen. Najib Ullah Khan said the development projects would be implemented in a transparent manner in accordance with the development vision of Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
Maj. Gen. Asghar Nawaz, Director General NLC Brig. (Retd) Shahid Majeed, Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmad, Minister for Communication and Works Tanveer Aslam, Khawaja Ahmad Hasaan, Secretary Home, Secretary Finance, Commissioner Lahore Division, Commissioner Rawalpindi Division and other concerned officers were also present.
