In this era of globalisation, the use of technology for good governance is very essential. The initiative taken by Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif for holding a video conference of various districts of Punjab is admirable. Today, it is not possible for an executive or administrator to visit all places physically to manage his job.
The way introduced by the chief minister will save time and help control administration of all districts of the province. The use of technology not only helps address issues from all districts but also creates an atmosphere of interaction between the higher authorities and the district administration. It will also help to directly control district issues, implementation of policies, accountability and evaluation of district administration.
