New name

This refers to SHA’s letter of August 3 in which he suggested that the new Islamabad airport be named after Liaquat Ali Khan. The Nawaz government will certainly be doing a great service to one of our founding fathers who remains largely unrecognised.
No institution of national or international importance and stature has been named after our first prime minister who was assassinated while in office. Naming a park in Rawalpindi, a road and a township in Karachi after him are not enough. He certainly deserves a greater tribute to be remembered both nationally and internationally.
