Minister briefed on AEPAM

Islamabad: Minister of State for Education, Trainings and Standards in Higher Education Baleegh-ur-Rehman was briefed on the Academy of Educational Planning and Management (AEPAM) during a meeting.
The briefing was attended by Ministry’s Secretary Qamar Zaman Chaudhry as well as senior officers of the Ministry and AEPAM. A presentation was given by AEPAM Director General Azhar Hussain Shamim.
In the briefing, the vision, mission and future plans of AEPAM were mentioned as well as the functions of AEPAM that is basically doing capacity building of education managers of the four provinces and four regions i.e. Gilgit-Baltistan, AJK, Fata and ICT. The AEPAM DG briefed the minister on the role and functions of the National Educational Management Information System (NEMIS) i.e. consolidating and compiling educational statistics.
The minister and secretary appreciated the efforts made by AEPAM for doing capacity building and carrying out Education for All (EFA) activities.
