KARACHI: The Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) has issued a show-cause notice to project owners of Gulshan-e-Rufi, charging them with violation of construction laws.
A press release issued by KBCA on Saturday said people had lodged complaints that basic construction rules and laws in sector 6B, 6C, 30, 31, 32 and 48 of KDA, Scheme 33, were being violated by Pride Builders and Developers. Therefore, KBCA issued a show-cause notice of seven day to the project owners.
After the stipulated time action would be taken under Sindh Building Control Ordinance 1979-82 and the license of the builders would be cancelled and booking offices would also be sealed, the press release said. The KBCA has also cancelled the NOC for sale and advertisement of the project.
Meanwhile, the squad sealed shop No C-10 for illegal bifurcation in KDA Flats, Sector 11-A in North Karachi Town, while illegal partition walls and RCC columns on Plot No A-18 (ST-34), Sector 11-A, were also pulled down.
