PTI grabs lone Malakand Agency NA seat

BATKHELA: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Junaid Akbar Khan won the lone National Assembly (NA-35) seat and Shakil Khan bagged the PK-99 seat with a huge margin, while the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) contestant Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha won PK-98 slot for the third consecutive time in Malakand division. No untoward incident occurred and the elections were held in a peaceful and fair manner. PTI’s candidate Junaid Akbar bagged the NA-35 slot with 50773 votes while his rival candidate of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl contestant Hafiz Muhammad Saeed got 22263 ballots.
