‘Lahore Incarnated’ exhibition opens

‘Lahore Incarnated’ is the most appropriate title for the paintings exhibition of Dr Ajaz Anwar, one of Pakistan’s most distinguished artists in the art of watercolour as well as being an avid art historian.
He has developed a distinctive and individual style of painting, which opened at Colour Art Gallery, Gulberg II on Saturday. Dr Ajaz has been in love with the city of Lahore, the cultural heart of Pakistan since his toddling times. He has documented the culture, art and traditions of ‘Old Lahore’ in his paintings. The exhibition has been dedicated to Ana Molka Ahmad, a big name in the world of Pakistani art, a towering figure who dedicated her whole life to this land and promotion & teaching of fine arts. The exhibition attracted a large number of people. The show will continue till 30 April 2013.
