3 friends killed in fog-related accident From Our Correspondent BAHAWALPUR: Three friends were killed in a fog-related accident near Channi Goth on Friday. Muhammad Ashraf, Muhammad Imran and Hafeez Ahmad were on their way to Mullan Wali from Channi Goth by a bike when a speeding trailer hit their motorcycle due to heavy fog. As a result, all the bike riders were killed on the spot. SAHIBZADA FAROOQ PASSES AWAY: Former MNA and PML leader Sahibzada Farooq Anwar Abbasi died after protracted illness at Bahawal Victoria Hospital on Thursday night. He was the grandson of late Amir of Bahawalpur Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi and cousin of present Amir of Bahawalpur Nawab Salahuddin Abbasi. Scores of people attended his funeral prayer held at Markazi Eidgah Bahawalpur. Meanwhile, Bahawalpur Union of Journalists President Muhammad Ameen Abbasi, JI Punjab ameer Dr Waseem Akhtar and PPP leader Safdar Shahbaz condoled the sad demise of Sahibzada Farooq.
