Riaz seeks delay in cases till CJ retires

ISLAMABAD: Business tycoon Malik Riaz has filed a petition in the Supreme Court stating justice cannot be dispensed in presence of Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry.Sources said that in the petition, Malik Riaz has held the stance that the cases against him in the Supreme Court should be delayed till the retirement of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.In the petition, he has asked for a fair trial under Article 184 of the Constitution. He has requested to delay all criminal and judicial cases against him till the CJ Iftikhar holds his office.
