ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has extended its Online Verification System (Verisys) to individuals by installing the VERISYS on the Nadra Kiosks, to facilitate public in verification of their business needs.
The Nadra sources said Nadra Kiosk, designed to provide the common man a number of services, have been receiving overwhelming response from the general public due to the convenience it offers in payment of utility bills and obtaining pin codes for mobile phone scratch cards.
Now by utilizing VERISYS, Kiosk could also help in providing identity verification service to the general public reducing the possibilities of ID card related frauds. This system enables a CNIC holder to verify the authenticity of computerised ID cards in matters associated with activities such as employing a servant, carrying out sale and purchase of vehicles, property and involving other deals.
Nadra's VERISYS has already verified the credentials of around 30 million customers of more than 80 banks, financial institutions and other authorities so far through dialup connections. With introduction of VERISYS at Kiosks citizens would now be able to benefit from an automated authentic database.
