Soomro was produced before the court of Javed Iqbal. The Soldier Bazaar police maintained that they needed time to conduct a through investigation to determine the details of his crimes.
The accused allegedly killed two women and a young girl after sexually assaulting them in separate incidents that spanned over the last few months.
After killing his victims, Soomro reportedly dismembered their bodies and dumped the parts in different areas of the city. The police said that like most serial killers, the suspect followed his own pattern and that was of killing his victims on the 9th of every month.
Soomro earned a living as a rickshaw driver and all his victims were passengers that he had picked up.
He would then take his victims to his residence in Patel Para and then strangle them to death.
It was pointed out that his accomplice in the killings, a man named Iqbal alias Pappu, was still at large. Allowing the suspect’s physical remand, the court directed the police to submit the Challan during the next hearing.
