Woman arrested over husband’s murder

Factory Area investigation police have arrested a woman who with the help of her paramour had allegedly murdered her husband.
Naseem Bibi with the help of Shahid Manzoor had allegedly gunned down her husband Ghulam Farid on December 21, 2011. 285 arrested: Mujahid Squad arrested 281 criminals and four proclaimed offenders during the last month.
The police registered 199 cases in various police stations against the arrested persons. Thirty pistols, five rifles, 10 kg Charas, two kg heroin and 459 bottles of liquor were also seized.
hate speeches: Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ahmad Raza Tahir has said that on the occasion of Juma congregations, there is a strict ban on all provocative and hate-mongering speeches from the pulpit.
The CCPO directed the Security Branch to increase usage of metal detectors on the occasion of Juma congregations in the city and ensure maintenance of peace at mosques with the close cooperation of organisers.
The CCPO further ordered usage of walkthrough gates for security purpose and asked divisional SPs to personally review the duty of all police personnel deputed at Darbars and Imam Bargahs along with ensuring continuous patrolling of their respective areas in an effective manner.
merrymaking: Seven people, including two women, were arrested from a brothel one charges of merrymaking in the Raiwind City police area on Thursday.
A good number of police officials, on a tip-off, raided the brothel owned by one Musawir Ali of Kot Raadha Kishan at Jia Baga.
The accused Razia, Rasheeda, Saleem, Hanif, Mahmood Ahmed and Jaaved were arrested red handed. A case has also been lodged against them.
