• CJ urged for early hearing of case against Mush

      ATTOCK: Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP) has urged Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry for immediately hearing of high treason petition against General (r) Pervez Musharraf along with the NRO review petition.

      This high treason case is pending for hearing since September 15, 2009 against General Musharraf, which was filed in Supreme Court by CPP Chairman Engineer Jameel Ahmad Malik under Articles 6 and 184(3) of the Constitution.

      The CPP chairman said after the historic judgment of 14 member’s bench of SC on July 31, which declared the emergency of November 3 and all it’s others acts as illegal and unconstitutional, he was expecting a speedy trail of Musharraf.

      The Communist Party in its petition has said Musharraf was not alone, who abrogated and subverted the Constitution on unconstitutional emergency of Nov 3 but it also includes former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, former governors and chief ministers of four provinces, former National Assembly speaker and chairman Senate, former federal ministers, former members of National Assembly and Senate, judges of Apex and High Courts, full three Generals, 12 Corps Commanders, one Major General and sole Brigadier Aasim Salim Bajwa, five chief and home secretaries, five inspector generals and DPO’s, four federal secretaries, Sharifuddin Pirzada and Malik Muhammad Qayyum.

      Engineer Jameel in the petition had narrated all those facts and stories in details how shabby Musharraf and its 481 collaborators disgraced and subverted the Constitution.
